PCN (Primary Care Network) Core Hours
All appointments are pre-bookable.
- Pre-bookable routine GP appointments are available 7 days a week for patients registered with a GP practice in Watford and Three Rivers.
- Monday to Friday Evening 6.30pm to 8.30pm – these appointments are always telephone appointments.
- Alternate Saturdays 9.00am to 5.00pm. Locations Abbotswood, Sheepcot and Vine House surgeries.
- There are also urgent on the day appointments. Please ask at reception for details.
When we hold the clinics at Vine House this may involve GPs from other surgeries working here as well as our own. During these appointments all GPs will be able to access your medical notes in the usual way. Please be assured that your confidentiality will be maintained.
Please note that the Care Co-Ordinator (s) cannot deal with any queries, i.e. prescriptions, sick notes, results or letters etc. The phone lines are not open during these extra clinics so if you need an urgent appointment or need to speak to a doctor please telephone 111.
In addition, our GPs will continue to run extended hours – three Saturday mornings per month 8:00am to 11:00am and one week per month early mornings from 7:30am Every Wednesday one GP also has appointments from 7:00 am
Please rest assured that we are very aware there is a huge demand on GP appointments and we hope these extra clinics will help to ease the pressure.
